Regular Monthly Meeting by Videoconference

  • 1.      Call to order
  • 2.      Approval of minutes of the September 21, 2020, meeting
  • 3.      Public hearing on work permit application 04-20 for projects at 7119 Brink Road
  • 4.      Commission discussion and action on work permit application 04-20
  • 5.      Discussion of the status of Samantha and Steve Marstaller’s driveway relocation project at 21517 Laytonsville Road, on which an application for a variance is pending before the Board of Appeals
  • 6.      Discussion of the provision in the town’s Zoning Ordinance (Section 127.05 [b]) requiring a historic area work permit for substantially modifying the environmental setting of a historic resource and whether the commission’s guidelines adequately address this subject
  • 7.      Open forum on Laytonsville historic preservation issues
  • 8.      Reminder that the commission’s next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for November 16, 2020
  • 9.      Adjournment

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            The Historic District Commission of the Town of Laytonsville, Maryland will conduct a public hearing to consider application, WP-04-20,  submitted by Lemery Rollinscott and Monica Solomon for work located at 7119 Brink Road.  The request is to 1.)  Remove an old small shed; 2.) Remove the asphalt driveway and replace with a French drain system and Nicolock pavers; 3.) Replace the brick path from driveway to porch and the street to the porch with Nicolock pavers; 4.) Landscaping; 5.) Replace the windows with new wooden windows; 6.) Paint the roof over the porch and shed; 7.) Paint the shutters; 8.) Utility work including hook-up to WSSC for water, gas for new HVAC, appliances and fireplace, new septic field and request to Pepco to bury electrical lines from the street to the house.
