Recyclables (mixed paper, plastic and glass) are collected on Mondays.  Recyclables should be separated or they will not be collected.  Paper should be separated from commingled materials such as plastic and glass.  Please note that our contractor does not have trucks that pick up the large paper bins on wheels.  The weight of the filled containers become hard to lift.  Please refrain from using these containers.  Recycling bins are available at the Town Hall.  You may have more than one.  Paper may also be placed in cardboard boxes for recycling pick-up.

Snowplow image  Streets:  The Town contracts with a snow plowing service.  Plowing will be provided when the snowfall exceeds four inches.  The State and Montgomery County  plow and salt Route 108 and Brink/Sundown Road. By parking your vehicles off-street during snow storms will allow the plow crews to completely plow the streets.

Sidewalks:  Those residents and business with abutting sidewalks are responsible for keeping them litter free and for removing snow within twenty-four hours following the end of a snowfall.  Arrangements can be made through the Town for residents needing assistance in snow removal.  Sidewalk problems should be reported to the Clerk.

Lightbulb image  Street Lights
If you notice a street light that is out, please look for a metal strip on the pole that has the pole number. You can report it by going to the following to the following link: https://pepco.streetlightoutages.com/map/default.html   .  If you live in Mobley Farm, Laytonsville Preserve, Rolling Ridge or Laytonsville Grove or if the pole doesn't have a pole number,  just report the location of the street light to the Town Clerk.
