Notice Dated Nov 15, 2007 - Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Council of the Town of Laytonsville will hold a Public Hearing commencing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, Maryland to consider reclassification Application submitted by Paul and Keith Brubacher to the current zoning on property located within the Town of Laytonsville, Maryland and located at 21415 Laytonsville Road. Notice Dated Oct 5, 2007 - There will be a continuance of the Public Hearing held on September 4, 2007 to consider the proposed amendment to the Preliminary Plan submitted by Laytonsville Communities, LLC on:Tuesday October 23, 2007 (subject to change) 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the St. Paul United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 21720 Laytonsville Road.
Laytonsville Communities, LLC requests an amendment to the Preliminary Plan to have access to the proposed subdivision by way of an entrance from Route 108 at the entrance to the Laytonsville Elementary School. A proposed traffic light will be installed at this intersection. The proposed entrance is in lieu of the proposed round-about at the intersection of Route 108 and Warfield Road.  More...

Notice Dated Sept 14, 2007 - The Board of Appeals of the Town of Laytonsville will conduct a public hearing on a Special Exception application submitted by Michael Fraley, President, Sunquest, Inc., Four Seasons Sunrooms, for the property located at 21516 Laytonsville Road on October 1, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, Maryland. Notice Dated March 26, 2007 -

The election will be held at the Laytonsville Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road, and the polls will be open from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. All citizens of the Town of the age of 18 years and upward and who are registered, bona fide residents of the Town for not less than thirty (30) consecutive days before the election shall be qualified to vote.

CANDIDATE(S) FOR MAYOR: Charles W. Oland
CANDIDATES FOR TWO COUNCIL POSITIONS: David Preusch & Frank Bennett

Absentee ballots will be available for this election. The application for an Absentee Ballot must be obtained from the Clerk at the Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road, no later than 1:00 p.m., Thursday before the election date. Completed Absentee Ballots must be received by the Clerk at 21607 Laytonsville Road (P.O. Box 5158) by mail, or hand delivery so that the same is received by the Town Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. on Election Day, May 7, 2007. There is no procedure to provide for write-in ballots.

Notice Dated March 26, 2007 - The Town of Laytonsville will hold an election for the positions of Mayor and two Council Members on May 7, 2007. All citizens of the Town of the age of 18 years and upward and who are bona fide residents of the Town for not less than thirty (30) consecutive days before the election shall be qualified to vote. The Town of Laytonsville will utilize Montgomery County’s voter registration list for voter registration. If a resident is not registered on Montgomery County’s voter registration list, the resident may register on the Town’s Supplemental Voter Registration List by written request to: Town of Laytonsville, P.O. Box 5158, Laytonsville, MD 20882. Please include the registrant’s full name, address and age as of the day of the election. No person shall be entitled to vote in a Town election unless he/she is duly registered to vote at least thirty (30) days prior to that election.  More...

Notice Dated February 20, 2007 - The Mayor and Council, acting as Planning Commission of the Town of Laytonsville, will conduct a public hearing on a request for the property located at 21404 Laytonsville Road filed by Joshua and Katherine Pomeroy on Tuesday March 6, 2007,7:45 p.m. The request is to add a 28’ x 30’ x 18’ outbuilding to include a two car garage with additional woodshop space and an additional room to serve as a seasonal greenhouse for the property located at 21404 Laytonsville Road.
