ORDINANCE NO. 01-07

AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT CHAPTER 7A, OF THE

MONTGOMERY COUNTY CODE, 2004 (AS AMENDED) ENTITLED

"OFF-THE-ROAD VEHICLES" AS BEING APPLICABLE

WITHIN THE TOWN OF LAYTONSVILLE, MARYLAND

AND TO AUTHORIZE MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND

TO APPLY, ADMINISTER AND ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS

OF CHAPTER 7A WITHIN THE TOWN LIMITS.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Laytonsville, Maryland in public meeting assembled for the protection and enhancement of the health, safety and general welfare of the inhabitants of the Town of Laytonsville, the registration and regulation of the operation and use of off-the-road vehicles and the sale of these vehicles is in the public interest and to this end hereby enacts the following ordinance to read as follows:

OFF-THE-ROAD VEHICLES

Adoption of County Law; Application and Enforcement

It is hereby ordained that the provisions of Chapter 7A, Montgomery County Code, 2004 as amended (Bill No. 7-04) is hereby adopted as the Off-the-Road Vehicle Ordinance of the Town of Laytonsville, Maryland and said Chapter 7A, Montgomery County Code shall apply within the Town Limits of Laytonsville. Montgomery County, Maryland, it officers, employees and agents pursuant to said law shall be authorized to administer and enforce the provisions of said law within the Town and on its behalf.

Adopted this 2nd day of January, 2007 by the Town Council of Laytonsville, Maryland.

and shall become effective on the 23rd day of January, 2007.
