TOWN OF LAYTONSVILLE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            The Mayor and Council will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on February 2, 2010 at the Laytonsville Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road to amend the Town of Laytonsville Forest Conservation and Reforestation Ordinance to conform to current State law as follows:  

            *          Amend Section 111, “Applications” so as to modify criteria for exemption; and

            *          Amend Section VII, “Afforestation and Retention” to add new subsection 7.2.1 relating to trees, shrubs or plants considered priority for retention; and

            *          Amend Section XIV, “Variances” to modify procedures for variance; and

            *          Amend Section XVI, “Annual Report” to amend information required to be submitted in an annual report to the Senate Economic & Environmental Matters Committee.

            Copies of the Amendments will be at the hearing and can be obtained at Town Hall during business hours.

The regular monthly Town Council meeting will begin at the conclusion of this hearing.
