TOWN OF LAYTONSVILLE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Mayor and Council will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at the Laytonsville Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road to Repeal and Reenact with Amendments the Town’s Forest Conservation Ordinance to include the following in order to conform to current State law:

Page 4, Section 2.21 of the Forest Conservation Ordinance (Forest Conservation Manual)- update the version of the State Technical Manual to include the current version (1995) (Second Edition)

Page 19 Section X, 10.1, A of the Forest Conservation Ordinance (Payment Instead of Afforestation and Reforestation)– update the time period to reflect the State Code which allows for two or three growing seasons.

Page 22, Section XV, 15.1, of the Forest Conservation Ordinance (Penalties) –update the penalty for non-compliance to the State Code which requires a 30 cents per square foot charge.

Copies of the Forest Conservation Ordinance will be at the Hearing and can be obtained at the Town Hall.
