NOTICE
OF ELECTION
On
Monday, May 5, 2003 the Town of Laytonsville will hold an election for the
positions of Mayor and two Council members.
The term of office is two years.
The elected candidates will take office on July 1, 2003.
Candidates
for the office must file, in writing, with the Clerk of the Town, Cathryn D.
Buit, at the Town Hall, 21607 Laytonsville Road, by 6:00 P.M. on Monday, April
14,2003. Candidates must be residents
of the Town for a period of six months on election date.
Office: Mayor
and Two Council Members
Filing Period: Monday, March 31, 2003 to Monday,
April 14, 2003 by 1:00 P.M.
Election Date: Monday,
May 5, 2003 between 3:00 and
8:00 P.M.
Place of Voting: Laytonsville Town Hall
21607 Laytonsville Road
All
citizens of the Town of the age of 18 years and upward and who are bona fide
residents of the Town on the day of election shall be qualified to vote.
Absentee
ballots will be available for this election.
