HDC Meeting Minutes

The regular meeting of the Laytonsville Historic District Commission (HDC) was called to order by the Chair, Ms. Wenger, at 7:30 p.m. Commission Members: Ruspi, Shortley, Prats and Howes were present.

Attendance :

The meeting was attended by 6 residents and two guests.

Minutes :

The minutes were not available at the time of the meeting.

Preliminary Statement by Chair

The reading of the preliminary statement was dispensed with since there were no cases on the agenda.

Old Business:

Hearing continuation HDWP 07-08 Lisa and Paul Simonetti, property located at 21711 Rolling Ridge Ln. Presentation of the revised design were presented and discussed. All the concerns and suggestions of the HDC were incorporated. The applicants explained that the profile had been reduced; the stairs were re-oriented and would have closed risers. The lattice would match the lattice on the front of the house, and the supports would be disguised in brick to blend with the house. The hearing was closed at 7:50pm. Member Ruspi made a motion to approve the application as submitted with the revisions. Member Shortley seconded. The application was unanimously approved

New Business :

NV Homes has submitted an application for modification of Lots 1 and 4. The application has been scheduled for a hearing at the January meeting. The commission members are encouraged to review the plans submitted in preparation for the hearing.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 8:04 p.m.
