Historic District Commission
Meeting
Minutes-August 22, 2005
The
regular meeting of the Laytonsville Historic District Commission (HDC) was
called to order by the Chair, Sheree Wenger, at 7:30 p.m. Commission members Ruspi, Sterling and Techter
were also present. Ms. Howes joined the
meeting in progress.
Commission
member Techter made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 18, 2005,
meeting. Second by Commission member
Ruspi. The minutes were approved as
presented.
Old Business
·
The
Chair reported she had spoken to property owner of 7115 Brink Rd in regard to
HDWP 01-04. The work permit is an
extension given with stipulation that it would be reviewed in six months. Ms. Wenger will write formal letter
requesting property owner attend September HDC meeting. A break in at this location resulting in
vandalism and theft was reported.

Ms.
Wenger reported she had no response from Elm Street Development in regard to
maintenance schedule for Rolling Ridge.

HDC
members discussed the ongoing work at 7119 Brink Rd., HDWP 02-05. The accessory building approved is being
constructed on site and not pre fabricated as previously indicated. Ms. Wenger has checked dimensions of the
structure and the size appears to be in compliance with the application.
New Business

Chair
Wenger reported that the Town has requested Elm Street Development connect
sidewalk from new development to the existing sidewalk. Plantings in the right
of way at 7201 Brink Rd must be removed to allow continuation of the sidewalk. After discussion the HDC agreed by consensus
to ask all concerned parties to come in for a consultation. Ms. Wenger will extend invitation to
property owner and Elm Street Development representatives to attend September
HDC meeting for consultation. Commission members reviewed drawings of proposed development.

Ms.
Wenger provided copies of annual letter to Mayor and Council and will present
same at September town meeting.

to adjourn by Mr. Techter. Second by
Ms. Sterling. Meeting adjourned at
approximately 8:30 p.m.
