Laytonsville Historic District Commission Meeting Minutes-April 18, 2005

The regular meeting of the Laytonsville Historic District Commission (HOC) was called to order by Chair Sheree Wenger at 7:30 p.m. Commission members Ruspi, Sterling and Techter were present. Commission member Howes was absent.

Mr. Techter made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 21, 2005, meeting. Second by Ms. Ruspi. Motion approved.

New Business

Ms. Wenger reported that membership dues were paid to the Maryland Association of

Historic District Commissions.

Old Business

Ms. Wenger and Ms. Sterling attended a work session of the Mayor and Council. The purpose of the work session was the draft review of the Town's Comprehensive Plan. Areas addressed were Chapter I Laytonsville-Past and Present, Chapter II Goals and Objectives, Chapter III The Plan. The Mayor and Council received recommendations from the HDC regarding language within the draft, as it relates to the Historic District-Work is continuing on the plan.

Commission members continued the discussion of including St. Paul United Methodist Church and cemetery in the Historic District. Ms. Ruspi suggested the HDC seek records of those buried in the cemetery.

There being no farther business the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
