Laytonsville Historic District Commission

Meeting Minutes-December 20, 2004

 

 

 

The regular meeting of the Laytonsville Historic District Commission (HDC) was called to order by Chair Sheree Wenger at 7:40 p.m.  Commission members Howes, Ruspi, and Sterling were present.  Commission member Techter was absent.

 

Ms. Ruspi made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 15, 2004, meeting.  Second by Ms. Howes.  Motion approved.

 

Old Business

·        The Chair reported that property owners at 21606 Laytonsville Rd. are considering adding exterior lighting to the property.  This work will be presented to the HDC at a later date and added as an addendum to the existing HDWP-03-04. 

 

·        Ms. Wenger also gave a status report on 7115 Brink Rd., HDWP-01-04.  The property owners are awaiting permits from Montgomery County.

 

·        Jody Kline, attorney for Elm Street Development, forwarded a letter to the HDC.  The letter is in response to the Rolling Ridge occupancy requirement suggested by the HDC.  The annexation agreement is being reviewed by the town attorney following changes.

 

·        The Mayor and Council are reviewing the preliminary subdivision plan submitted by Laytonsville Communities LLC.  The plan requests approval for subdivision of 121.8 acres and consisting of 56 homes, several homes will be part of historic district.  Representatives of Laytonsville Communities will be invited to attend an HDC meeting.

 

New Business

·        The Mayor and Council will attend the January regular meeting of the HDC.  The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss outbuildings on the Town Hall property.

 

·        Ms. Ruspi reported the existence of an old foundation on the property being considered for subdivision. 

 

·        The members also discussed the need for general clean-up of construction site at 7115 Brink Rd.  The Chair will inform property owners.

 

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at approximately 8:30 p.m.
