MiLAYTONSVILLE BOARD OF APPEALS

MEETING MINUTES

December 3, 2007 – 7:30 p.m.

Roll Call:

The regular meeting of the Laytonsville Board of Appeals was called to order by the Chair,

Jake Cecere, at 7:30 p.m.  Board Members Hewitt, Ruspi, Sladki, and Stadler were present.

Attendance:

The meeting was attended by the following guests:  Ms. Sheree Wenger, Ms. Jill Ruspi, the Mayor, Charles Oland.

Minutes:

Chair Cecere asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes. A motion to accept the minutes of the November 5, 2007, was made by Board Member Ruspi and seconded by Board Member Sladki.  The minutes were approved as presented.

Old Business:

Mr. Mike Fraley, President, Sunquest, Inc., Four Seasons Sunrooms, was not in attendance at the meeting to discuss further his application to the Board for a Special Exception for the property located at 21516 Laytonsville Road.  During the Meeting of October 1, 2007, Mr. Frailey had been advised of the conditions which would need to be met before the Board would consider his application.

A motion was put before the Board by Member Stadler to table final consideration until the January meeting given Mr. Frailey’s failure to appear at this meeting. The motion was seconded, and was passed with none opposed.  Chair Cecere will send a letter to Mr. Frailey reminding him of these conditions and requesting his attendance at the January 7, 2008, meeting.

Chair Cecere reread the letter from Mr. and Mrs. Pollock, 21517 Laytonsville Road, to record their opposition to a special exception being granted for the property located at 21516 Laytonsville Road.  The minutes indicate that the letter was originally read into the record at the meeting of October 1, 2007.

New Business:

The Board Members will view a video on how to conduct public meetings.  It was decided to hold a work session from 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. on January 7.

Adjourn:

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 8:15 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,
