BOARD OF APPEALS

Draft Minutes for July 2, 2007

 

The monthly meeting of the Laytonsville Board of Appeals was called to order by Acting Chair Francis Hewitt at 7:30 in the Laytonsville Town Hall.  Mayor Oland was present.  Sheree Wenger, Chair of the Historic District Commission was present.  Mayor Oland administered the Oath of Office to Jim Ruspi.

 

Acting Chair Hewitt asked if the Board Members read the minutes from the June 4, 2007 meeting.  Each member stated that he read the minutes.  The minutes were approved as submitted.

 

Old Business

 

Status of Recording Secretary was discussed.

 

New Business

 

Chair introduced James Guenterberg, owner of 21516 Laytonsville Road.    Mr. Guenterberg purchased the property in 1994.  Mr. Guenterberg  introduced Michael Fraley, Four Seasons Sunrooms, a prospective purchaser of the 21516 Laytonsville Road property.  Mr. Fraley wanted to explore the possibility of the usage of the building as office/warehouse/showroom as a special exception to the Zoning Ordinance. Traffic and usage was discussed.

 

The Board recommended the applicant submit a Special Exception application.

 

Sheree Wenger, Chair of the Historic District Commission, recommended that the applicant attend the next HDC meeting.

 

 

There being no other business, Member Sladki made a motion to adjourn.  Member Stadler seconded, and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote.

 

The next Board meeting will be at 7:30 in the Town Hall on Monday, August 6, 2007.
