Town of Laytonsville – Building and Zoning
BOARD OF APPEALS
Draft Minutes for May 7, 2007
The monthly meeting
of the Laytonsville Board of Appeals was called to order by Chair Jake Cecere at
7:30 in the Laytonsville Town Hall.
Members Jim Ruspi, Peter Stadler, Joseph Sladki and Francis Hewitt were
present. Also present were Recording
Secretary Jill Ruspi and Sheree Wenger.
The Chair asked for a
motion to accept the minutes from the March 5, 2007 meeting. Member Stadler made the motion. The motion was seconded by Member Hewitt, and
the minutes were unanimously approved as presented.
New Business
Member Peter Stadler
asked Sheree Wenger, Chair of the Laytonsville Historical Commission (LHC), if
there is an appeal process for decisions made by the Commission. Ms. Wenger
answered that there is an appeal process.
Ms. Wenger said that an appeal to an LHC decision is decided by the
Circuit Court of Maryland.
Chair Cecere said
that the Recording Secretary notified him that she will not serve in that position
after the June 4, 2007 meeting. Chair
Cecere said that the Mayor will ask the Town Clerk to announce the
vacancy. One suggestion was that a student
could serve as Recording Secretary and could then qualify for service hours.
After determining
that there was no old business, the Chair called for a motion to adjourn the
meeting. Member Sladki made the motion
and Member Stadler seconded. The
meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote at 7:45 p.m.
The next Board of
Appeals meeting will be at 7:30 in the Town Hall on Monday, June 4, 2007.
Respectively
submitted,
Jill S. Ruspi,
Secretary
